As Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, we are dedicated to serving God, the Church, and the community.
With a deep commitment to the elderly and the sick, we provide both medical and spiritual care, upholding the dignity and sanctity of every life. We embrace people of all backgrounds, promoting unity and understanding.
A cornerstone of our mission is the care for the elderly. Institutions like St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Catonsville and the Sacred Heart Home in Hyattsville are a testament to our dedication. These establishments provide both medical and spiritual support to our residents, ensuring they live with dignity and comfort and emphasizing the sanctity and dignity of every human life.
The Sisters Sacristans are responsible for managing all the altar linens, liturgical vestments, sacred vessels, lectionaries, sacramentaries, candles, hosts, wine, and more. Serving in the Basilica of National Shrine in Washington, DC they prepare for various events, including Adoration, Ordinations, Professions, Pilgrimages, and even Papal Visits. Though the work in God's house as sacristans is often hidden, it is a great blessing to serve both God and people.
We have remained dedicated to serving all people regardless of race, nationality, or creed. This dedication extends to our work in early childhood education, embodied in teaching in Catholic schools. This work has deeply impacted many and remains a vibrant and integral part of our mission alongside our work promoting Catholic teachings, ensuring access to sacraments, daily Mass, prayers, and other liturgical services.
