There was a tradition in the Congregation of the Sisters Servants that on the Feast of the Presentation, February 2, sisters made their first vows. Fifty years ago, three of our sisters—Sr. Grazyna, Sr. Zofia, and Sr. Krystyna—professed their vows in our Motherhouse in Poland. On that day in 1975, in the peaceful silence of the Mariówka Chapel, who could have imagined that three sisters from the same novitiate would answer the call of their vocation and set out on a journey to a faraway land across the ocean? Today, all of them serve at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. Last weekend, we celebrated the golden jubilee of their religious life. Sisters gathered together to give thanks to God not just for 50 years, but for 150 combined years of their faithful service and dedication.
